| WHY WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION |

Dance Studios (Canada) Ltd. collects personal information in order to facilitate the services and employment opportunities that are offered through our network of franchisees to you, the applicant. This means that our franchisees collect personal information in order to assist you with your application of employment. We not only collect personal information about our employment applicants, but also about our franchisees. Both the franchisor and franchisee may put personal information to a variety of uses, which may include communicating information and offers to applicants; to understand, analyze, and respond to our applicants’ needs and preferences, and to subsequently develop, enhance, and/or provide products and services to meet those needs. We do not collect personal information for any other reason other than as described in this Policy, nor is it used in any way other than as described herein. |
| CONSENT |
| We try to ensure that you understand how we use your personal information. One of the ways this is done is by obtaining your consent. Consent may be either expressed or implied. Expressed consent is given when we specifically ask you if it is acceptable to you that we gather certain information and you explicitly agree that it is, by submitting your employment application. Implied consent occurs when you provide information that may be personal information without objection. As we obtain only the information necessary to assist you with the transaction you require, we operate under the understanding that you have agreed to provide us with this personal information voluntarily and with knowledge of this Policy whenever you do so. |
| USE AND RETENTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION |
| We will retain your personal information for as long as we provide or may potentially provide services to you. When your personal information is no longer necessary to us for the purposes described in this Policy, we will destroy, delete or de-personalize the personal information after a period of no longer than five years since the personal information was last used. Certain of your personal information may be combined with other personal information collected by us to provide us with aggregate statistical information about our applicant’s employment preferences, but at no time will your personal information be shared with any parties that might be involved in this aggregate collection of information unless you otherwise provide it voluntarily. |
