From there, franchisees receive corporate support from coast-to-coast. Our astute franchise team provides assistance in key operational functions ranging from dance and business training to information technology and marketing.
Corporate representatives conduct on-site visits to provide guidance in business operations and dance instruction. They are there to ensure that our corporate standards of product quality, value, cleanliness and customer service are consistently maintained. | The Corporate TeamAstaire | | | Michael E. Schultz: Mr. Schultz is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of F.A. Dance Studios (Canada) Ltd. He has decades of experience in all aspects of the dance business, having started out as a trainee dance instructor, progressing to studio manager to a franchisee to an area franchisor. Mr. Schultz was the first dance instructor, other than Fred Astaire himself, to become President of Fred Astaire Dance of North America, Inc. Today, he is responsible for the Country of Canada and to date has personally trained and developed every Fred Astaire Studio Director/Franchisee in the Canadian system. An astute dancer in his own right, he excels in the business side of studio operations and shares his knowledge with new franchisees during the initial training sessions and on an on-going basis. | | Heather Tran: Ms. Tran is Chief Financial Officer of F. A. Dance Studios (Canada) Ltd. Seven years ago, Heather joined the corporate team and brought with her an in-depth accounting knowledge gained through working with some of the largest accounting firms in North America, such as KPMG, previously Thorne, Ernst & Whinny. Ms. Tran oversees all financial responsibilities of the corporate office, as well as helping each franchisee to become more financially astute than most of their counterparts in the rest of North America. | | | Michel Beaudoin: Mr. Beaudoin is currently the co-Franchisee of the Ottawa and Hamilton franchise and serves as National Field Director for the corporate office. He has over 25 years experience in the industry, advancing from an amateur dancer to supervisor to studio manager to franchisee and National Field Director. He has maintained his studio in the top 6 dance studios worldwide for the past 15 years. Mr. Beaudoin's best attribute is his ability to train and motivate great dance instructors to move upward to studio management positions. He is skilled in providing training at all levels in enrollment, customer relations and management. | | Heather Anderson: Ms. Anderson is the first female in the company's history to win Top Specialist of North America, an achievement that still stands today. Heather is a graduate from University of Western Ontario with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in History. An accomplished dancer who was selected as one of Kitchener's Women of the Year, a Manager of Year recipient and is a graduate of University of Dance and FAME Dance College trainer. She serves on the training management board of Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Canada. Today she is the Franchisee of the Kitchener studio and has consistently maintained the studio in the top 10 studios worldwide for the last decade. | | | Canadian National Council of Dance
| | | Cher Rutherford: Ms. Rutherford is currently Canadian National Dance Director and Examiner. She holds the following titles - United States American Style Open Smooth/Rhythm Champion, United States Theatrical Champion, and Fred Astaire National Champion. Ms. Rutherford is an Adjudicator holding N.D.C.A. registered A+B+C+D+, U.S.I.S.T.D Fellow, Theatrical Branch and a World Class Adjudicator for Ballroom-Latin Show dance. | | France Mousseau: Ms. Mousseau is currently Canadian National Dance Director and Examiner. France holds the following titles with her husband and partner, Jean-Marc Genereux - 10 times Canadian Latin Champion, North American 10 Dance Champion, 2 times Asian-Pacific Champions and 3rd in the World 10 Dance Champion. She is CTDA and N.D.C.A. registered A+B+C+D+ and a World Class Adjudicator. Jean-Marc Genereux: Mr. Genereux is currently Canadian National Dance Director and Examiner. Jean-Marc holds the following titles with his wife and partner, France Mousseau - 10 times Canadian Latin Champion, North American 10 Dance Champion, 2 times Asian-Pacific Champions and 3rd in the World 10 Dance Champion. He is CDTA and N.D.C.A. registered A+B+C+D+ and a World Class Adjudicator. | | | Dan Labelle: Mr. Labelle is currently Ontario Regional Dance Director and National Scruntineer. He holds the following titles with his wife, Melissa Krulick - undefeated Fred Astaire Canadian Smooth/Latin Champion, Fred Astaire National Champion, Tour de Champions Zone Champion.
